FirstFruits recruits people from the margins of society: people who have been affected by homelessness, have suffered from addiction issues or mental illness, are experiencing social exclusion, or have had issues with criminal justice. We believe in giving people a second chance and equipping them for a sustainable career in the New Green Economy. We aim to offer all our employees formal training that lead to industry-recognised qualifications. We believe in a second life for everything. Your food-scraps, garden wastes, old paper and cardboard, wood off-cuts need not be thrown in the trash. We don't see trash as worthless; we see it as a valuable resource to grow things and make things, while all the time reducing our environmental impact.
